There’s no time like the present to avoid the headaches—literally and figuratively—associated with high blood pressure down the road. The good news is that in a Swiss study of more than 2,000 healthy people between 25 and 41, those with the most omega-3 fats (think oily fish, flaxseed) in their blood had the lowest pressure levels. The authors, who presented their findings to the American Heart Association, noted that even a small drop in BP could prevent a whole lot of cardiovascular problems in the general population.
